Instead of visualizing, try this:

On a vehicle with no trailer.....attach a load-distributing bar, and
lift up on the end that would hook to the trailer.

What does the tow vehicle do?  The rear comes up, and the front is
lowered.  When you hook up to the trailer, the same thing happens.

Simple, right?
