 The speedo will have to be adjusted somehow. The electronic pickups operate
against a gear-looking thing in the tailshaft housing (not actually
touching, just close to the teeth), but I don't know if they change this for
different rear-end ratios or adjust the speedo someplace else.

That's a good price on the ratio change, it'll be well worthwhile!

Another thing you might want to try is a K&N air filter. You can get them
from NAPA, and the price is low enough that you don't loose much if it
doesn't help. They do make great claims. :-)
