Start with checking it on both electric and gas. If it'll cool on either
one, the cooling unit is OK. If it'll cool on neither, it COULD be the
cooling unit, but you must first check to see if either the gas burner or
the electric heating element is working. If you have a good gas flame and/or
the electric element is heating, but still no cooling, you probably have
serious and expensive problems.

Naturally, you've made sure it's level before firing it up, right?
