Re: [A/S] Wheels

Jerry - I found a place that has trailer wheels to fit
just about everything -- I bought replacement wheels
for my 1960 Tradewind about a month ago - only place I
could find the right bolt pattern - (I also wanted
black rims and baby moons)

excellent service - they've also got brakes, drums,
controllers (and axles?) etc that match the old
systems. Most importantly (I think you've only got
one axle right?) You want the wheels and tires to
match your weight rating - The wheels I got there are
rated @ 2600 lbs each (I've got a single axle too) and
the tires (I bought bias-ply trailer tires for the
stronger sidewalls) are rated @ 2520 lbs(?) each

Good luck with Aluminum rims - my only soapbox item is
"safety first" - if you find wheels that can hold the
weight - make sure you torque and re-torque them
frequently - the lugs have a tendency to loosen on the
least suspecting people at the worst possible time.
