Unfortunately one of the more abused phrases in the RV business is "it's
in great shape" Right along with "everything worked the last time we used
it". Keep in mind he/she is trying to sell it. How many people are going
to tell you they're selling a piece of junk.
Have a professional perform an LP pressure and leak test on the coach.
Have the seller show you that each appliance operates correctly. Verify
that the refrigerator gets cold. Inspect the tires and shocks for
condition and leaks.
The Argosy was used as a test vehicle by Airstream. Some ideas tried were
adopted, some weren't. The bigger front wrap windows were adopted, the
upper one piece steel cap was not.
Argosy owner's were not welcome into "the club" until 1994. As a result
they seemed to belong to a more free wheeling group. You are more apt to
see remodeled interiors and some pretty creative exterior paint jobs on
Argosy's.
