[A/S] Re: Oasis RV

Since I live in Dallas and there is no A/S dealer here or within 300
miles that I know of, I had never seen a real Airstream dealership
before I stopped by Oasis last January. From the brochures one would
think that an airstream dealership would be a sort of glitsy upscale
type place, but Oasis is more of a large mom and pop operation. The
new inventory seems to stand out because it is all shiny while the
large used inventory and the buildings are more of what I think Wally
would be comfortable with. The front room has parts inventory on
shelves and the ceiling and is anything but fancy, but I certainly
got the feeling that anything a/s could be gotten there. There was a
large used inventory, a large new inventory, busy service bays in the
back, and since the buildings were not new and glitzy, I did not have
the feeling that I was going to pay the highest price for anything I
wanted just so the owner could make debt service on the place. So
Terry, I concur with your evaluation. I wish there were more of this
dying breed.
