Rob, short of parking your Bambi in a barn, I'd leave it outside. But, I'd make sure it was out in
the open and not under any trees. 

A couple other details. If you have an outside cat, make sure there is a path through the snow to
the Airstream so your cat can easily get to it, hide under it (protected from the wind) and catch
any mouse that tries to break into your silver castle. Don't underestimate the ingenuity of mice.
Cat's don't and they are the natural predator of mice. Be ready to praise your cat for any "gifts"
he proudly brings to you.

If you even think of putting a tarp over your Bambi, forget it. Tarps have a way of rubbing on the
aluminum skin and creating shiny spots where the clearcoat is rubbed off. The spots are random with
no symmetry, just the kind of decoration you want, right?.

Finally, you may want to position the Airstream so the afternoon southwest sun strikes fully on one
side to absorb heat. One year, I parked one of our Airstreams so the sun struck full on one end.
There may be a difference in advantage or disadvantage one way or the other, but it never became
evident to me, other than I prefer to sit inside the warm one when I daydream.

PS - Today (Thursday 10/19/00) finds us at Double Adobe Campground, several miles south of Bisbee,
Arizona where there are two Vintage Airstreams for rent. This campground is like an oasis out in the
middle of nowhere.

While driving here along SR 80 south, we saw a very small Argosy for sale just south of McDavid,
Arizona at mile marker 303. If it had been an Airstream, I'd have judged it to be the smallest size
made. If it's still there when we return to McDavid, I'll stop and check it out.
