Walter of Wabash makes hardwood table slides.  Wally used them from "day 
one" on all the pull out beds (aka gauchos).

In rebuilding "removed" gauchos, repairing damaged ones, or making "new" 
pull-outs, they are a lifesaver.  We replaced 2 of the 5 on our '65 
Caravel restoration that someone had butchered in the past.
