Cynthia,
     Unless you just have to have an original Airstream water tank, you can 
order one from JC Whitney or from just about any RV parts place for a lot 
less than $270. If your tank is the steel cylinder for the pressure system 
you can get it welded or you can just have mine  . I'm replacing my pressure 
system with an on demand pump and plastic tank.    Trike 5384
