I remember my dad piecing together a pesticide-application tank which seemed
to made of the same material using hot-glue gun.  And being a modeler, I'm
aware of the joys of using epoxy glues...might be worth a shot.  You're
going to have to pull it out anyway if you replace it, so you might as well
flop it on its back and have at it :).
