Todd - I thought about that too -- I don't know if your name plate is like mine at all - but if you do vinyl, you will have one hell of a time lining it up on the "etched" surface - get real close, run your fingernail over it -- you'll see what I mean... I'd just etch it and paint it. Toby 2029
