Re: [A/S] Everflo Furnace

Bob, A couple of things come to mind, one unlikely, is that there is
precipitate in the line, sometimes here in the cold North (Ohio) The carrier
thet use to give the LP its lovely "bouquet" precipitates in the line to
form a scummy smelly brown oil which tends to do weird stuff to you gas
pressure, I always associated this with colder climates. I used to maintain
a complex with a big "tank farm" and this phenomenon caused me no end of
misery, very unlikely in your climate , and especially since you had your
lines checked. Much more likely is a bad regulator on your gas valve. Most
of these were Robert Shaw brand and are made in your neck of the woods,
still available, although it might take some figuring out to do.
If you have troble finding one contact me off list and I can probably get
you pointed in the right direction. (I do purchasing for a HVAC company)
