The original lock used was a Bargman L-100 with a specially made bolt.
The bolt was longer to accommodate the deeper back set of the Airstream
door. The basic L-100/200 is still available through most RV sources. I
actually prefer the L-200 because it's inside handle is a paddle style
rather than the knob style of the L-100. Airstream has the special bolt
made and put into an L-100. They also sell the special bolt separately.
I generally recommend getting an L-200 from a local source and
retrofitting the bolt to it. Or, in the case of  another part breaking,
just swap the old bolt to the new lockset. Sometimes a little filing is
required to get a good fit.
