Re: [A/S] Need Repair in New York State or New England

Dear Group:

I have a problem with a 1997 Excella Classic Travel Trailer, rear bath,
21'--I bottomed out, jammed the exterior sewer connection into the asphalt,
and " possibly " did some damage to the black water tank. I cannot figure out
how the black plastic sewer connection is physically connected to the black
water tank. From underneath the trailer it appears the plastic was pushed up
into the tank. The tank is leaking from the connection to the large black
plastic exterior sewer pipe. Although I have thoroughly cleaned everything
and let it dry (all scents and smells gone, have not used it in over two
weeks), I have not yet gone to the lengths of dismantling the pieces. The
owner's manual is unclear, as it shows only a top view of the placement of
the connection relative to the side of the trailer body.

Does anyone know how these physical connections are set up on the 1997
widebody Excellas?

I am hoping to tour New England for the fall colors, starting this next week,
and don't really want to give up the trailer for a week.

Questions:

Any GOOD Airstream service centers in the Northeast, including New York
State, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, or Maine?

Any chance I can make this repair myself?

Probability of my replacing the black water tank myself?

Underlying this set of questions is a dwindling faith in the Airstream
Service centers level of work. My experience thus far has not been great,
finding most of them are shorthanded for actual Airstream experience.

Suggestions?
