The Colorado snows at this time of the year never last,  in 2 days it'll
probably be back in the 80's.  Even in the winter snow on the ground is
usually gone in a day, in the foothills.  Over the Interstate routes they
are so well maintained you just wait till the sun comes out and they already
have everything cleared.  Snow removal here is much better than I-80 through
Wyoming.  I hope you don't completely rule out the Colorado route just
because of a little snow.   Bo(

We've been so dry through the summer, the moisture has turned everything
green, almost like Spring.  I'm hoping to take the family up to Estes Park
tomorrow and go into Rocky Mountain National Park to check out the colors,
just starting, and the elk.  I'll post a note about how it looks up at
12,000' from the "Vista View" windows of the Excursion.
