You probably have enough replys to do you for awhile but one more 
probably won' t hurt.  Engine size:  I have pulled a '30 Argosy Airstream 
since 1987 with a 1/2 ton Ford with a 350 engine and 373 rear gear ratio. 
Automatic with no overdrive and a standard carb (no fuel injection).  I 
have been over extreme mountains and got the job done.  I rated several 
hills, such as Raton Pass in NM, by how fast I could go in second gear.  
All the bad ones were 25 mile an hour hills.  My trailer empty weight is 
rated as 6300 lbs.  So a 350 engine with the proper rear end ratio can 
get the job done but it does have its limits.  Use of oversized radiators 
 or extra radiator  cooler and a transmission oil cooler are a must if 
the vehcicle is not presently equipped.

You need a good tow hitch hooked up correctly.   At minimum I suggest a 
Reese Hitch with a dual cam sway attachment.  Probably run $7-800.  Don't 
try to get by with less for a 31 ft trailer or even a 25 ft in my opinion.
