Craig,
 Your owner's manual will probably tell you how to tell the axle ratio
and towing capacities.

I towed a 4000# GlobeTrotter last year (all-up, ready to roll) with a
1/2 ton Dodge P/U and the truck didn't know the trailer was back there.
This Spring, I bought an Avion that weighs about 5300# empty and is
probably 6000# when ready to roll. I didn't feel comfortable with that
trailer behind the Dodge, even though the manual says that its towing
capacity is in the 7000# range. That's why I just bought a Dodge 3/4-ton
TurboDiesel, rated at 14,000#+.

Last year, I saw a fella towing a 34' A/S Limited tri-axle with a
1/2-ton 'Burb and I guess he was happy enough. However, I talked with a
buddy of his this year and asked about him and was told that they
totalled the rig, put 'er upside down. Dunno if it was due to a
mis-matched rig or not.

Also, last Fall, our own Hunter Hampton put a 25' A/S behind her 1/2-ton
'Burb and was quite unhappy. She had a 3.04 axle ratio, however; if she
could have changed it to a 3.73, she might have been happier.

Whatever you buy, if you tow with that 'Burb, make sure that you never
tow in OverDrive or I'll guarantee that you'll be unhappy. Replacing the
transmission costs about $1500.00.
