We tow a 17' Caravel with a full-size Ford 6cyl Pickup and a V6
Mitsubishi Montero.  We are right at the comfort limit of power and
control. I think we would still be OK with a 19' Globetrotter, but the
22' Safari  would be too much unless I was towing it empty.  I think the
Pathfinder had a 5000# rating with the automatic; I know the Odyssey has
only a 3500# rating, far below the Safari towing weight.  

You need a 1970's Detroit bruiser with a V-8, or a newer full-size
pick-up/suburban/expedition kind of vehicle for the Safari.

What were your folks towing it with?
