[A/S] New to trailers and Airstream.

Hello:
I've never owned a travel-trailer before or even  thought I 
would.However  my involvement with dog showing means one is a virtual 
necessity.The choice is  obvious..it  must be an Airstream!!
27-30 or 31 feet hopefully.
 Questions for the list:
When looking at  an older unit , are there any "must  check outs"
that 
 the more experienced trailer-ers/Airstream owners can comment on? 
Judging from the few used units I've seen  advertised ,I'm   sure any 
unit I could consider would be at least 20 years old.
How  does  one arrive at the fair asking price for a used unit..is 
there a formula for depreciation  from the price of a new one? 
 Does anyone know which models/years had rear bedrooms if  any? As 
opposed to a rear bathroom?
 What else do I  need to know  before setting out on my search?
