Hi Hunter et al:

In July I was at a KOA in Eureka, CA and met a guy who claimed to have
known Wally Byam through his coatings business.  At the entrance to the
campground there was an old ( early 70's I think) Argosy that seemed to
be permanently parked.  The paint was peeling from the endcap nearest the
road, the rear one.  It was black underneath.

In talking to this guy, he mentioned something about that
condition resulting from improper preparation of the FIBERGLASS before
coating.  I said I thought those encaps were made of steel, but he said,
and it definitly looked, otherwise.

Unless you are absolutely sure, maybe someone could go out to their
Argosy and see if a magnet sticks just for the heck of it.  It would make
sense to me if they were made out of fiberglass because it would be much
easier to produce.  The inner endcaps on my Safari are made of it.
