Nicci already replied with the first thought that had also popped into my 
head.  That disgruntled neighbors had it towed. Maybe you can have your 
friend give 'stolen trailer' flyers to her neighbors - perhaps the person 
responsible will have a conscience. If none of them had anything to do with 
it maybe someone saw the thief and didn't realize it was being stolen.

I am so sorry this happened to you - what a blow that must have been!

I hope you reported it to the police. Was it towed to where you stored it - 
did it have licence plates?  And which state was it stolen in?
