The ads come on the email in two forms...One as text only, the other as
colored HTML with moving stuff...Very annoying! >:(
To change to the text only, go to the egroups page, click on My Profile,
then Edit Profile.
Scroll down and check the box next to:

  Preferences
          HTML email:

                          Send me HTML email
                   (*)     Send me plain text email
          Note: HTML mail means you can see colors and graphics in your
email.
