I knew there was something extra that I liked about Kenora!  I have
done the hat trick plus one:  Moose Jaw, Medicine Hat, Swift Current
and Rat Portage!  Muleshoe is pretty good, but cannot touch those
names.  Tom, you really made my day when you told me I had actually
been in Rat Portage.  Yee-hah!

As a crypto-Canuck you can judge my Canadian comments.  I certainly do
not think that I have passed any offensive or too "Yank" comments.  I
am truly enjoying my time here and find the folks here quite friendly
in that familiar low key Canadian manner.  Kaslo is so pretty that I
would think seriously about buying a summer home here.  Especially now
with the exchange rates are so good.  Folks around here are surprised
that so few Yanks have moved in.  The Germans have, though.  This
region is crawling with them.  The winters are alleged to be mild.  But
that is mild by Canadian standards.  I would not be surprised if
northern Texas has more serious winters than this section of BC.

There is a nice two bedroom home near where I am camped for sale for
around US$70K on a nice lot.  New AS's cost more than that!
