[A/S] Re: [AirstreamList] Clear Coat Polish
Walbernize is a product which treats the clear coat and keeps it from
drying out and flaking off. There are two kinds of Walbernize. One is
for late model trailers, I think after 1985 and another for earlier
models. However, I cannot recall the two different identifiers that
distinguishes the difference. It is a very easy application, just wipe
on and wipe off. It also improves the appearance of the finish. Waxing a
trailer won't hurt it and may offer some protection but the key is to
treat the clear coat. Keep checking with a/s dealers and ask about it at
RV parts departments they may have it in a catalog. If you call
Airstream factory they can probably give you some leads. Quart of the
stuff is about $20 and will do a 31 foot trailer easily.
