Your Overlander sounds like it will be an involving project. $1K isn't too
bad for a start if it requires extensive repair, but the trailer better look
a whole lot better than mine if the price is higher.
Can you see yourself putting in hundreds of hours into a fixer-upper? (not
to mention the ca$h, although I haven't hit $1000 in my restoration costs
yet) Then this might be a good leap for you to make. From your
description, there is quite a bit to fix already on the trailer....if as you
say, the inside is "shot".
I'm curious as to your motivation for acquiring the '59 when you have a 31'
Airstream already. Aluminum sickness?? or just looking to add to the
fleet?? Becareful with thinking you can afford it unless you have a lot of
passion for fixing up a classic.
