Re: [AirstreamList] 59 overlander?

John,
Too bad the Vintage Discussion List is down, there are 4 listees who
have overhauled their 1960+/-  Overlanders and have a wealth of info.
It looks like a 26' twin from the placard - a nice layout.  The usual
show-stopper on these are the plywood floors being rotted out here and
there.  While it is possible to piece/part the repairs, it usually ends
up being a frame off replacement unless the trailer has been well
maintained.  The large vent/skylight is being replicated by
AirstreamDreams.com.  A complete overhaul and new interior on a coach of
this vintage will run about $8000 with your labor.  If it was in
relatively good condition, a restoration drops to about $3000.  If you
have the storage, tools & talent, the Overlanders make a beautiful
restoration.  Here are a couple of sites of interest.
