RE: [a/s] New vs. Old
I bought a pristine 1966 Safari two years ago for less than 10% of these
newer models. Of course I only have a single axle but then my unit only
weighs 3340 pounds. It's thick skinned though, so I can clean and polish
to a mirror shine.
My microwave isn't built in so you have to add that to the price. But I
think in most every way it has the same capabilities as the current
units. Thanks to the quality control built into the vintage models by
Wally Byam, I expect to pass my Safari on to my kids (as many have).
If the new coaches can match that longevity than they are well worth their
price.
