I think he's being a little hard on the new Bambi.... but as they say, "They 
don't make 'em like they used to."  Look at cars.... personally, I think the 
50s cars were, and are, much nicer than the new ones... but the new ones have 
advantages over the old behemoths. Looks isn't one of them.  

One advantage of the old ones is the shell is thicker metal, they polish up 
to a mirror finish.  But, then you have the proble of possible rust 
underneath on the frame, old brakes, wheels etc. 

As for retrofitting.....  it works for me.  I love my new trailer... it's 
almost perfect.  What would make it perfect is if it had 1960s aluminum on 
it.  I'm not crazy about the pewter look of my finish.

You aren't going to find a 20 foot Bambi. There's no such thing. 

It won't be cheap to buy an old one and rip everything out and replace with 
new.....
