Re: [a/s] Good to hear from you
It's great to have you back on the list.....
The 3 COM *cellular* modem. I have the Nokia 6162 cell phone and the NOK6
cable to connect the phone to the modem. Works great... except I get online
at 4800 bps.
Before you leave Texas plan to spend some time in the Hill Country.
Fredericksburg is a terrific town to stay in ... then go sightseeing from
there. Kerrville is a place to make in a day trip, especially the Cowboy
Art Museum. If you like small cities... Austin and San Antonio are
wonderful. If you take the trailer to Austin try to stay at the Pecan Grove
RV Park...downtown on Barton Springs Rd.
Lots of people winter in Texas...down near Brownsville.
I got a private email from Verna last week..... she was in Missouri. When
the guy next to her saw the Airstream it reminded him of one he had seen back
in Montana.... this is the story in Verna's words...
"while in Springfield, MO, a guy parked next to us was talking to my husband.
Referring to our Airstream, he said that while in Montana, a gal pulling an
Airstream with a bright red Ford diesel whipped that baby in there and no
sooner had her feet touched the ground, the satellite dish went up and out
she came to walk two big dogs. My husband said, "Her name wasn't Hunter, was
it?" His mouth dropped open and he said "Yes!" We didn't get his name -
said he had a couple of drinks with you and really enjoyed meeting you. He
was *very* impressed!"
Bahahahaha... small word huh?
Hunter
