Hunter & others with diesel engines.  Could you comment on this post below
taken from the VAC list.

I'm beginning to fall in love with the thought of a diesel powered Suburban
with the new GM/Isuzu Duramax Diesel 6600 - 6.6L V8 Turbo - Diesel - LB7 -
Model Year 2001,

this time will be available in 2001 for trucks only, hopefully Suburbans by
2002.  I'm waiting for GM to email me back on this.  This time frame will be
just about right for me as I'm hoping to get my AS around that time, unless
I get lucky sooner (hope - hope - hope).  For me though I'd be using the
Burb primarily as personal transportation and not strictly as a long haul
unit.  Would it be bad to use a diesel for town use, although half of my
driving will be on trips of 40+ miles or more before shut down?  I'm
interested because the implied "good gas mileage" of a diesel, and in a Burb
it would not offend my eco-conscience, driving around in such a "big" rig by
myself, if it was more "gas" efficient.  I sell insurance and drive all over
the county
