[a/s] Warranty Service - How does this impress you?? Write and let me know.
Hi Folks -
It is day 23 that I have been here and add two weeks to that for the
trailer! The trailer has been here since 9 June. The span of time
between 9 June and 24 June measured nothing. The Airstream folks let
the trailer sit in their lot for two weeks doing nothing! I have been
waiting a little longer than two weeks for a couch to arrive from
California.
Now I had submitted a CD to Airstream's service rep with text and
pictures describing everything I felt was wrong with this trailer and
what should be fixed under warranty. During the two weeks that the
trailer was here alone not one person looked at the pictures or the
frazzled couch to determine it needed to be replaced. I was suspicious
that these folks were doing nothing and drove out to check. Right:
they had done nothing for those two weeks! They had not even inspected
the couch to determine they would replace it. After I got here they
started working on the trailer and said they would replace the couch.
So, the two weeks that I left my trailer here for an appointment made
months earlier achieved nothing. Now I am wondering just what hoops I
have to jump through to get the factory to honor their warranty in a
reasonable manner.
I am curious: just what do you folks think of a company that takes five
and a half weeks to complete four days work? They have not worked on
this trailer since 27 July! What does that say to you about the
Airstream Factory Service. Write and let me know.
Sandy who is wondering and waiting in Ohio.
