[a/s] Polishers

I have steadily grown to appreciate the importance of a good polisher for owners of vintage coaches.

There seems to be two types of quality polishers. (there's a plethora of junk polishers) 
The difference is whether the motor sits on top of the pad:


Like this one . . . or on the handle.

Like this one.

I wander which one would handle the best over the long hours of polishing.  Sorry for the 
formatted email but it is the only way I knew to draw the picture.
