All the trailers except the first are "full" trailers rather than "semi"
trailers ... how the "semi" got its name, because the "semi" trailers have
wheels at the rear only and roughly half the weight is riding on the rear wheels
(twin axle duals, normally) of the tractor. The rest of the trailers all have
wheels front and rear and so don't have any "tongue weight" at all, but are
stable in themselves. Or they are semi-trailers riding on a "dolly" in front,
with the same effect. They don't transfer any weight to the unit in front.
If you really want fun, try to calculate the "bridge formula" for one of those
rigs. If you have a trucker's atlas, it's all spelled out in there, but still a
pretty fair head scratcher when you try to do it.
Look into the "road trains" they use in Australia some time. Talk about spastic
snakes ... but they don't even try to stop, they expect you to get out of the
way ...
