Hi Hunter,
I measured the blinds to fit just shy to the inside of the slider things.  
This way I could open and close the windows easily without having to adjust 
the blinds or unhook their attachment at the bottom.  (I do reach through the 
slats to lock the windows.)
Anyway, it worked perfectly!  Lowes (and I am sure what ever home improvement 
stores are where you are) cut the width to order for me in about 1 minute 
each.  You take them home and adjust the length yourself.
