[a/s] Carpet vs Wood Flooring - Custom Options from the Factory

2 years ago when I though I was close to being able to afford my new AS
[won't happen for a few years Bo( ] - I was looking at new Excella's and
Limited's, we particularly liked the kitchen area wood floor on the
Limited's. Following discussion on this list - many were not so inclined
towards the "beautiful" wood because it would certainly require more careful
treatment and care. Everyone, well some folks, recommended using throw rugs
over the wood - simple to wash - I liked that idea just like you Bob.

I was asking the dealer in Denver about ordering the wood floor on an
Excella and the salesperson said "I'm sure they can do that" didn't ask
about the whole unit. If AS's gets enough interest maybe they could do the
whole floor-plan it at the factory - I'm thinking about writing to them
about thicker aluminum - since there's been discussion here about the merits
of the "old type" aluminum. In fact I'd be interested in hearing thoughts
on ways that "us customer's" might be able to send suggestions to AS/Thor
influencing them on options and such.

I don't know but with all the talk of AS "chic" "retro" and with new
touches, like Wilson Art, they may be able to offer more custom work, at a
price. Again, I don't know, but I think AS's will be enjoying a real wave
of interest, like Harley's have enjoyed, by folks my age young 50's. When I
buy my AS, I'm paying for something I'll keep and use for 10-15 even 20+
years, so cost will be viewed in relative terms. Yes the Hensley too.
Everybody Duck. LOL

Input please, no need to comment on Hensley.
