Don,
 One thing that folks need to be aware of when tying down their A/Ss is
to put the ties very near to the support/stabilizer jacks.

IE: if I were tying mine down, I'd use those portable jackstands at each
corner, adjusting them to get the trailer solid, but not unload the
tires significantly. (the trailer is designed to have its weight carried
at the axles, not the ends) Then, attach the tiedowns to the frame at a
location immediately adjacent to the jackstands.

I think you could easily distort the frame by putting the stabilizer
jacks under the trailer a ways, then attach the tiedowns out at the ends
and reef on 'em.

Another point: those tiedowns need to be no more than snug. The idea is
to keep the trailer from beginning to move, not hold it in an
earthquake.
