Re: [a/s] Jackson Center repairs, service and warranties
NOW - b4 the matter grows any colder - would be a good time to initiate
(even if it doesn't go anywhere) a call (should be an 800+ number) to the
State Atty. General's Ofc. - Consumer Affairs Div., in Columbus - either to
your own State, Ohio or BOTH. Looks like you've got everything well
documented; which is a BIG step in the process (the rest of us having
witnessed your efforts). They may EVEN have an email address for filing a
fast complaint. They WILL follow up.
There may may also be local (say the Dayton area) consumer advocacy agencies
who can assist (see the phone book). Any attempt in THESE directions should
send a clear msg. to A/S that you're NOT into "messin' around" any longer.
You'll GET their attention. This fellow you mentioned who's asking for a
refund could very well prove a significant ally in your quest for the same
or a "pronto" replacement unit.
May not be the perfect or ultimate solution ... but I hope it helps.
