James is right, I just bought a 73 about a month ago.
When I got it home the a/c worked like yours. After working on it for a couple
weeks I finally got to the a/c unit to check it out. I took the top outside
cover off and it was packed full of leaves and cotton wood. I used compressed
air to blow it all out and it works great now.
