I did some non-scientific research about a year ago when I was wondering if selling
my 1976 31' with rear bath was an option. I saw several sell (reportedly) for between
$7,500 and $9,000. As you can quickly run up a huge bill when anything needs to be 
fixed, an AS which "needs work" even in seemingly a minor area might be problematical.

The things stay structurally sound for a very long time. So you need to evaluate what
systems work and what systems "need work". If you are buying it for your personal use,
try to figure out what it is worth to you and what the functional options to this particular
Airstream might be (cabin, trailer, SOB, etc) . Because trying to figure out what a given 
Airstream might sell for is a leap of faith. The numbers seem to vary widely. But according to 
my limited experience you have located a unit on the low end of the cost spectrum (reasonably 
minds may differ).
