[a/s] refurbishing 1979 Excella 500
Hello Listees:
We have been avid readers of this list for over 6 months now and we have
learned quite a bit. I am happy to report that we see the light at the end
of the tunnel. We have redone most of the inside of our trailer. We put new
floor (Pergo), new curtians, new toliet and new stove. And we have cleaned,
cleaned and cleaned some more. This is in addition to the work we had done
on the outside. Some skin repair and we had it all the tanks, hoses and
electrical checked. We bought new batteries and had the trailer wired to our
3/4 ton Suburban. We also had an electric brake controller made by Reese
installed. So we are almost ready to roll! My husband is reading the
information on polishing with great interest since that will be his next
project. You notice I said his project. But we will take it on a trip
before we get it polished. Actually the outside is not too bad but it does
need some attention.
We expect our maiden voyage to be sometime in August and then we will be
ready for our next local WBCCI rally. I can't wait to get out on the road
and maybe met some of you in your travels.
Again thanks for all the info.
