Respectfully,
	Airplanes are riveted because the back side is not exposed on the hull and
rivets are much faster to install.

Stainless steel screws or bolts with nylon lock washers will last
generations and won't vibrate loose.  I think a good emergency repair kit
for Airstream would contain some such hardware.  Then when the rivets on
your rear bumper cover or screen door, door open latch, toilet seat etc. pop
out, you can whip into your tool kit and fix them easily.

Of course rivets are the only way to go when repairing the aluminum hull.
Through bolts only work where you have access to both sides and both sides
are rigid.
