RE: [a/s] Don't @#$% with Mother Nature
Hunter-
So sad to hear about your hail damage. You sure are taking it well. I'd feel
so disheartened...
My wife and I visited the factory yesterday in Jackson Center. There was a
34' belonging to a couple from Texas which was having hail damage repaired.
I must say, I never would have guessed the repair process! They essentially
recoat the trailer in aluminum along the sides and the top. The front and
rear curved portions were cut out and replaced. We actually watched as they
took one long sheet and coated the entire side below the stripe! They will
have a double thickness of aluminum in most spots except the end caps. The
bad news they said was that it was taking a couple of weeks to repair.
I asked them how they're skylights did. They said that the outer plastic
broke, but the inner stayed intact.
I'll have pictures soon when they return from the developer if you're
interested in the process.
