[a/s] Delmarva and chicken

Hi -

We have been on the Delmarva peninsula for a little more than a week now.  Specifically on the 
eastern shore of Virginia.  Tis is the land that time forgot and is pretty much the way things 
were thirty years ago.  The pace is quite laid back and the area is southern and rural with all 
that means both good and bad.  We have been enjoying ourselves cruising around the countryside 
and meeting the folks.

Yesterday was the beginning of the Chicken Festival down here.  It rotates from town to town 
each year.  This year it is in Berlin, MD, where part of "The Runaway Bride" was filmed.  It is 
pronounced:  BER-lin, MER-lin.  Chicken is the industry on the peninsula.  The chicken served at 
the festival was not the best I have had, but the event was fun.  I have attached what is billed 
at the world's largest frying pan.  It is used by the Lions club to fry chicken to a shadow of 
its former self.  

The chicken was followed by a Zydeco band, the Zydecats, which was also in the movie.  They were 
better than the chicken.  Today is visiting with relatives and a sail on the Bay, possibly.  The 
weather prediction is 97 with eastern humidity.
