Don,

I would be willing to bet that you have been frozen at one time or
another.  The softwall copper used in RVs will expand quite a bit before
it ruptures. This, of course is a mixed blessing, as you are now finding
out.  Last time I had this sort of problem (SOB back in the 70s) I cut
out the copper and used the pieces to pull in new plastic tubing.  The
fittings were a plastic compression fitting type of thing, but I can't
recall the brand name right now.

After all, I wasn't a senior citizen in those days.  ;^)
