I'm sorry if this is a duplicate - I had a
little trouble with majordomo re-activating my list membership.
If anyone knows the manufacturer and model# (and
maybe what city the mfr. is in) for a 2-burner gas cooktop as used in the '97
Safari, would you please let me know? It is stainless steel
and black, and the burner grates are cast, one for each burner (not the typical
bent wire grate). I believe that it is not a Magic Chef, and not a Wedgewood.
I need to know specs to be sure it will work in my '62
Globetrotter redo. I saw it pictured in a magazine article reprint (Trailer
Life) reviewing the '97 Safari and a Tahoe tow vehicle. It is not in current use
by Airstream, but they have quoted a price for me (through C & G Trailer in
OR). I want to buy it, but we're having trouble getting specs. Airstream won't
divulge vendor names, which seems silly in this case since anyone who has one
knows who made it. ( I AM trying to buy it through Airstream, after
all.)
