I have two Airstreams one is a 76 25' one I am restoring. The plastic light 
covers cannot be white again but they can be cleaned. They are hard to clean 
but can be cleaned and made sanitary. There are a lot of screws to removed 
but the job can be done.  The vent covers on my trailer are metal. I have an 
81 31' and the vent covers were metal and plastic. The plastic was broken and 
I had them replace for not too much money ( about 50.00 each  installed) with 
new plastic ones. They appear to be nice. Airsteam had a real stupid idea 
when they installed the light figures over the vents. They are really hard to
