[a/s] Bruiser Basher
<sigh> Well, I am in Moab Utah... where it's 100 degrees in the shade )c:
I dropped the trailer in the campground, and drove back to town to look for a
vet. One of the dogs ripped his nail playing Frisbee.
A rental (Cruise America) class C was riding my ass all the way to town,
which kind of pissed me off. He caught a light and I parked Bruiser, before
I could open the door he came along and his side mirror bashed my mirror. )c:
Broke it.
Grrrrr........
The good news is he pulled over and came back to apologize. He was foreign...
German maybe? Very nice family on holiday in America. I asked someone and
found out there was a Ford dealer a few blocks up the street. I told him to
follow me. He did.
We went in the office and he about had a heart attack.... electric mirrors
ain't cheap!!!
He was actually lucky because they happened to have one there that they had
taken off a new truck because the buyer didn't want the electric ones. They
gave it to us at a reduced price..... The total $177.00. Like I said, he
almost had a heart attack. The good news is he paid it so I didn't need to
call a cop.
I actually feel kind of bad for the guy, he really was decent about the whole
thing. Of course I'm the one who had to sit at the dealer for an hour while
they installed the new one.
Why would anyone live in a place this hot? The ground is all red powder...
the dust, the humidity...the heat. If I were a gila monster I wouldn't like
it here.
I did see something amusing on the way here though...... another rental...
this one a big Class A from El Monte RV...... the driver barrelling up the
road so full of himself.... his blue sewer hose (the stinky slinky) partially
unravelled alongside and trailing many feet behind him bouncing along 191
like a crazed blue snake. Oops. I wondered if he remembered to unplug his
power cord and his hose.............
Hunter, who can't wait to leave Moab..it's not fit for man nor beast
