RE: [a/s] Towing Question Can-Am
I hate to play the devils advocate here, OK, I like playing devils advocate
(I agree that I would rather tow with a Suburban), but the simply question
is, how do you know it will not tow very far? Is your opinion tested?
I'm not really taking the other side, per say, but the fact remains,
Can-Am's Dodge Intrepid has towed a 34' Airstream for thousands of miles (I
would hazard to guess it has more than 50,000 actually towing miles).
Now whether we (you) like it or not, Andy at Can-Am has tested, and tested,
and tested tow vehicles. From what I know of him, he has tested more than
any auto manufacturer has ever even thought about testing. I would guess
your opinion that it will not tow is simply based on a guess by you. Andy's
has factually tow for all those miles. Take it or leave it, is it safe,
that is certainly debatably, but the vehicle has proven itself, plain and
simple, there is not argument there.
Sorry, I just don't like seeing a guy get slammed because people do not like
his view point. Let's say Andy is totally full of it, then your opinion
that the Dodge can not tow is equally doubtful, based on actually
experience.
OK, now I duck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
