     I have a '99 Super Duty 4wd diesel that I use for towing, and as my
daily driver. The engine is made for Ford by International Harvester.  I
don't have any "yearly" maintenence, but Ford provides a maintenence
schedule based on 5000 mile increments.
     Oil and oil filter are changed every 5000 miles (I send a sample
out for oil analysis); tires are rotated at this time.  Air and fuel
filters are changed every 15,000 miles, and a few ounces of additive must
be put into the cooling system.  Fifteen quarts of oil and a fifteen
dollar filter are expensive, and the air and fuel filters are also
expensive compared to parts for a gasoline engine.  You get what you pay
for, and in this case you get a heavy-duty truck that performs
wonderfully.
     Mine is set up to accomodate my disability, and has a winch and boom
that I use to put my wheelchair in the back, hand controls, and I've just
ordered a device to lift me to the height of the drivers seat (I injured
my arm doing the transfer manually).  It has a canoe rack that I designed
and had built from aluminum pipe.  The rack has a 1500 lb. winch that I
use to load the canoe.  It also has a hydraulic winch on the front (10,500
lbs), Detroit locker in the rear, and Detroit True-trac differential in
the front.  I would really hate to have to replace all this equipment
after only a couple of hundred thousand miles, but I expect the diesel
Super Duty to last much longer than that.  So far I have been very
pleased with the performance of the Ford.
