Do you mean the deadbolt that you can lock from the inside to keep out
intruders during the night? My '90 Ecxella has one of those, but the
only locking mechanism on the outside is a pretty poor lock in the door
latch. This locks the handle so it cannot be opened, but it could be
defeated quite easily. I am interested in knowing about satisfactory
installation of a deadbolt either in the door or the wall so that the
lock bolt itself would slide through both the door frame and the door
edge providing a 'real' door lock. This would have key access from the
outside and either a key or leverthrow from the inside. Does anyone have
one of these. Pictures?
